0. Follow the instructions below and perform them in order.

• Warning!
  • Do not submerge The portal in water.
  • Do not leave The portal in hot places for long periods of time, such as on top of an espresso machine.

1. Check the package

• The main body of The Portal, the aluminum funnel and the sensor cover.
• Dripper adapter.
• EC standard solution for calibration (The Portal is already calibrated at the factory).

2. Turn on the power and press the buttons

• Caution!
  • Please press the touch buttons a little deeper and slower, they will be replaced with better touch buttons or push buttons.
• Power on
  • Press the left button once.
• Power off
  • Press the left button twice slowly.
• Record start and stop
  • Press the right button once.
• Switch between manual and automatic recording
  • Press and hold the right button.
• Enter and exit log list
  • Press and hold the left button. In log list mode, the left and right buttons act as navigators.
